the famoust pellet training

Hey guys, I have a jardini arowana n I am currently trying to feed him pellet. I have staved him for 22 days n he still does not want to eat. When starting he used to spit out but now he will juz stare at it n move away. What should I do? Stave him longer?
Also I cant even test my ph of my water n etc cause the moment I put something in it, he will swim n try to atrack it. This fish is about 17 inches. Any adive? Thanks.

Try stuffing the pallets in his preferred food? Like mp. Before u stuff the pallets in, make sure they r soaked until abit soft. Gd luck.

But I have already staved him for a while n if I feed him with mp it will be a bit wasted. Also before this, I had done this method but then he eat the mp but spit the pellet also
>I would advice a slow and steady manner. We do not wish to see our beloved pet over starved and concasted. Last time i browse upon a guide from Qian Hu on converting aro pallets trained. U can google and refer their method.

Last time i browse upon a guide from Qian Hu on converting aro pallets trained. U can google and refer their method. I tried to search but I could not find any. The only thing that I foind was on their Facebook page n its for arowana below 20cm. Also that method dont seem to work on my aro.
>Converting Aro to pellets, fastest way is to use more competition of food. Get some fast moving fishes like silver barbs or silver dollars. When aro See them snatching for the pellets, you will be surprise it will follow suit soon... gd luck!
>My aro seems to accept OF faster compare to others.
>Usually Ill breakup the pellets into very small pieces for the aro to bite. Eventually just throw in the whole pellet , works for me. I give mine Massivore hikari. Good luck.
>I have found that offering a variety helps. Sometimes certain fish just have a dislike for certain types of pellets. My aro for example prefers Massivore over Carnisticks. Also prefers Qian Hus OF over Carnisticks.
Like others have mentioned, stuffing the pellet into MP helps to introduce the taste of the pellet and is a good stepping stone to pellet-only acceptance.
I recently picked up a spotted gar. Should be wild caught. Fella didnt eat anything for a week and I was starting to get worried. Tried offering MP, Kuning, Toman, Carnisticks, Tilapia feeders, Squid. Die die dont want to eat. Then I tried sutchi fillet and voila the fella whack. Then a few days later, it started to whack MP. Songz!
My feel is that pellets are great for their balanced nutrition but lack the volume to bulk up an aro. So my feeding regime is to feed pellets first, followed by MP. Kinda like take supplements first before whack rice. If the fella dont take the pellet, then I stuff it into the MP.
For BF, I gut load them with pellets too before feeding to the aro.
>try staving alittle more. if it still doesnt eat the pellets try feeding alittle mp (dont feed too much) then starve again and try again. this works for me.
